Yoga is an ancient, spiritual practice that has been passed down for thousands of years. It has evolved in the west into what you might see today as a variety of postures, stretches and flows.
Pilates is a relatively new style of physical exercise focusing on core strength, toning and body control. Both get you on a mat, get your body moving and compliment one another very well to support your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies.
These practices are for every body, no matter your age, stage, season or story. The most important thing is that you feel good while practicing movement. As long as you’re taking cues from your own body first, you can safely practice guided yoga and/ or Pilates to take care of your physical and mental health.
